Yes it is possible to proceed from “Recreational Aviation Australia” to “Private Pilot Licence” if done the right way…
-
The training hours you fly must be according to the “Day VFR Syllabus”
(this rules out just training at any RAA school) -
The aeroplane must be in a registered or recognised aeroplane
( we have both, the actual upgrade to PPL is in a registered VH aeroplane) -
After PPL you can go on (if desired) to the Flight Instrument Rating (all weather operations) and even the Commercial Pilot Licence, then Airline Transport Pilot Licence. It is essential that you do not attempt these on your own without regular imput. We are here to help you as your mentor, keep in touch regularly to avoid going down the wrong path…
- COMMITMENT - Set your goals, know your objectives, write them down, and be committed to them.
- COGNISANCE - Means know all you have to know about the subject in question. (If you think training is expensive try putting a price on ignorance)
- COMPETENCE - Flows from the other two to provide a guarantee of professionalism & safety
SO how does this relate to flying?
- It is essential that both your Instructor and Flight school is committed to you, with regular feed back rather than just putting up flight hours in a log book.
- That in turn means higher standards of instruction, to ensure minimum flight times, costing you less in the longer term.
- In other words ensuring you completely understand the sequence on the ground before flight.
- It means also quality practice in a good Flight Simulator, (yes, stop the sim, turn it back, analyse the mistake, practice it till right,)
- followed by practice at home in your own flight Sim. (If you don’t have one, we have an extra one with a large screen available free)
- None of us know what the brain is capable of, if it is trained the right way. (see also the web page on flight Stress)
- That is why we need to continually think outside the box!
- There are many more secrets of flying & life, too numerous to mention here just now, (gleaned personally over 45+ years of flying & still learning),
- but happy to share with you over a coffee & biscuits.
- But please phone first on 0414 788 105 or 02 4655 8455 to avoid disappointment.
- Looking forward to meeting you soon, and you never know … your wildest dreams just may come to reality!
- even if they seem impossible at the moment.
… David
